The casino floor
South Beach sits on the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation Reserve. It began operations on May 28, 2005, as the second First Nations casino in Manitoba. Seven First Nations own it. The casino covers more than 40,000 square feet, and all of it is smoke-free.
Doors open at 10:00 am and close at 3:00 am, every day of the week. The hours after midnight belong to the evening before, so a Saturday shift closes at 3 AM on Sunday morning. Holiday hours should be checked on the venue's own site.
Slot denominations run from 1 cent to $5. The casino's own pages give different slot machine counts, so no number appears here. Single-zero roulette is on the list of table games. This guide found no published table count and no table game hours. The Ocean Club card is free, and its points and comps expire after 12 months of inactivity.

The hotel
The hotel has 93 rooms: 70 Deluxe Guest Rooms, 8 Luxury Guest Rooms, 5 Junior Suites and 10 Grand Suites. Check-in is after 4 pm and check-out is at 12 noon. Pets are not allowed.
Guests get a tropical pool open 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, then adults only from 10 to 11 pm. An arcade runs from 11 AM to 12 AM. The fitness centre never closes: it is open 24/7. Holiday hours for all of these should be checked on the resort's own site.
Dining and meeting rooms
Dining at South Beach covers Mango's Restaurant, the Blue Dolphin Bar, The Palms Buffet and the South Beach Café. The café is in the hotel lobby and is open 24/7. The Blue Dolphin has free live music. South Beach's pages differ on which nights, so none are listed here. Hours for Mango's, the bar and the buffet should be checked on the resort's own site.
For events, the Mother Earth Ballroom covers 5,000 sq ft and holds up to 300 attendees. It divides into the Sweetgrass and Sage rooms, which take 60 each. Smaller meetings fit the Cedar Room boardroom, which seats 17.
